Lexus IS F Visualizer is directed by Crush via Dentsu Canada and is currently being shown in cinemas in Canada. And it rhymes too.
To access the RAM slots in a unibody MacBook you must first remove the back plate—a thin piece of aluminum attached by eight tiny screws. Half of the screws are hidden beneath the battery cover, and each one is surrounded by a recessed magnetic zone. The purpose of these zones is ostensibly to help keep the battery cover seamlessly attached to the case. But removing the screws made it clear that the magnetic zones serve a second function. When my screwdriver [...]

What better juxtaposition than a happy girl and soaring birds with a machine gun? And, perhaps a few of your bills or car keys, too. http://www.ponoko.com/showroom/stufingerhut/

Microsoft deserves a pat on the back for pushing out an excellent update to the XBox experience last night. The svelte update was surprisingly quick - taking no more than a few minutes to complete. Watching the opening welcome screen reaffirmed my belief that Xbox team should really give more input concerning the OS side of Microsoft. Netflix streaming sans PC Not too long ago, Netflix streaming was limited to PC’s. I shrugged that feature of Netflix off considering a) the movie [...]
She makes an interesting distinction between the venial sin of using undocumented methods in a public framework (which is what Google has done with the proximity sensor), and the mortal sin of linking to a completely private framework. Sadun — who’s the author of the very good iPhone Developer’s Cookbook — even shows source code for an example app that catches proximity sensor events. Based on some of the email I’ve gotten this morning, I think the occasional use of undocumented [...]

On 8-9 November 2008 Designers’ Saturday took place in Langenthal, Switzerland for the twelfth time. Aiming to provide an inspiration for top performance, Aqua Creations in collaboration with its Swiss distributor Sphinx Lichttechnik, chose to exhibit at Creation Baumann’s warehouse. Having the designs return to their place of origin– the factory– or as Le Corbusier envisioned “the birthplace of cultural renewal”, an extraordinary and magnificent event took form. Given the dramatic, unconventional, and challenging exhibition space of an entryway and [...]
Nice Forms. A script that will replace the most commonly used form elements with custom designed ones.
I freely admit I'm obsessed with HoneyShed. The Publicis-backed Internet shopping channel from Droga5 and Smuggler is such a different idea, often bizarre and always interesting, and one I've tried to put in perspective recently. One part of the site's relaunch last week I didn't get to cover in detail: its embrace of social media. HoneyShed started following me on Twitter, after already adding me as a friend on Facebook. For me, HoneyShed's success or failure is pretty straightforward: It [...]
We've spent some time raiding the latest internet time sink--Google's archive of previously-unseen Life Magazine photos. There's three pages of film on Raymond Loewy, who was apparently quite the partier (check out his crib, above). This, friends, is the Grandfather of Industrial Design's bathroom, circa 1949. Loewy laying in the cut: Behind the wheel of his Lincoln Continental concept car with a plexi roof. The Loewy Crib in Palm Springs featured an indoor/outdoor pool studded with natural rock formations. Hit [...]
